East Evans
Two levels of outdoor space give East Evans its character. Ground-floor living opens to a fenced rear lawn, while a covered balcony sits above it among the trees. Inside, white cabinetry, illuminated glass-front upper cupboards and slender glass pendants contrast with wood-look floors.
The Brief
Rare Builders’ East Evans project brings two adjoining, two-story residences to a College Park homesite. The plan places garages and entries at the front, living spaces toward the rear and bedrooms above. The finished-photo collection records the entry marked 109 and the project’s interior and outdoor details.
The Response
The kitchen is arranged around an island with a sink, with white rectangular-tile backsplash and tall cabinetry behind it. Glass pendants recur in the dining area, and glazed rear doors open the living room toward the lawn. Upstairs, a bedroom with a tray ceiling opens to a covered balcony with horizontal metal railings. A window-side tub and mosaic-tile front continue the attention to smaller details in the bathroom.
