Case Study · Winter Park

Comstock

At Comstock, a grid of illuminated ceiling recesses connects the kitchen, dining area and living room. White cabinetry and paneled walls carry that geometric detail through the interior, while warm-toned floors and exterior accents soften the composition. The living space opens to a covered patio and pool in the rear yard.

The Brief

This two-story Winter Park residence pairs a tall, glazed entry with two street-facing garage doors. Light textured cladding, wood-toned doors and a broad entry canopy give the front elevation its layered character.

The Response

Inside, the white kitchen combines veined counters, a central island and geometric pendant lights. The ceiling pattern continues toward the dining and living areas, where low cabinetry sits beneath a paneled wall. Tall glazing lights the stair, and sliding doors connect the rear living room to a covered patio with a wood-toned ceiling and outdoor cooking area. Beyond it, a pool and paver terrace complete the yard. The City of Winter Park issued the home’s certificate of occupancy on March 15, 2019.
