Case Study · College Park, Orlando, Florida
Westmoreland
A tall arched window and a straight-edged entry portico give this College Park residence its street-facing character. Inside, a curved stair repeats the rounded geometry, with pale wood treads and dark vertical railings. The kitchen shifts to a contrasting composition of white perimeter cabinets, a dark island and large veined surfaces. A pool and paver surround complete the backyard.
The Brief
New construction of a two-story single-family residence with a pool in College Park.
The Response
The front elevation combines white exterior surfaces, light trim and dark openings. At the entry, the curved stair sits beside the tall glazing and paneled wall. The kitchen carries the light-and-dark palette through its cabinetry, adding open wood shelves, pendant lights and a white hood. Behind the house, palms and a dark fence form the backdrop to the pool.
