At Ivanhoe, an arched entrance leads to pale interiors and a dark geometric stair rail. The hall continues toward a wide opening between the living area and covered patio. Beyond it, fire-and-water bowls mark the edge of the pool, bringing the rear garden into view from inside the home.

The Brief

Completed in 2020, this new two-story College Park residence pairs a white street elevation with dark garage doors and divided-light windows. Layered trim frames the double-door entrance, while a paver driveway and planted beds shape the approach.

The Response

The white kitchen centers on a broad island beneath geometric pendant lights and recessed ceiling panels. Pale patterned backsplash tile and under-cabinet lighting add detail without breaking the light palette. A dedicated wine storage room combines bottle racks, diagonal bins and gray cabinetry. The primary bath continues the pale finishes with a long double vanity, glass-enclosed shower and freestanding tub. At the rear, the covered patio brings together an outdoor cooking area, a fireplace and a kitchen pass-through. A dark paneled ceiling and fans define the sheltered space, with the rectangular pool and paver terrace immediately alongside.
