Case Study · Winter Park
Parkland
Parkland’s navy-and-white kitchen opens directly to outdoor living. A pale waterfall surface wraps the island, while wide sliding doors open beside it to a covered summer kitchen and pool. The blue cabinetry reappears in an angled built-in, giving the interior a consistent thread of color.
The Brief
This two-story Winter Park residence pairs a broad, white street elevation with dark-framed glazing and three glazed garage doors. A textured vertical accent above the entrance breaks the horizontal rooflines, while a paver driveway and planted front yard complete the approach.
The Response
Inside, the kitchen combines tall white cabinetry, a navy island and slender gold-toned pendants. The adjoining living room centers on a tiled fireplace and wood-toned mantel beneath an illuminated tray ceiling. Horizontal stair railings keep the connection between floors visually open. In the bath, dark herringbone tile forms a backdrop for a freestanding tub and glass shower partition. At the rear, open sliding doors lead to a wood-ceilinged covered patio with a built-in grill and sink, followed by a rectangular pool and paver terrace.
